We had a great crew on board, starting with our captain Cory who got us smoothly to our dive sites despite it being a bit of a choppy day on the water. Our guide Roberto was top notch. They were very punctual when I met them at the pier. All gear was ready in the boat and fit nicely. The ride to the sites and back was awesome and once underwater they made sure I was safe and took time to show things around. After the dive we had a great lunch on a nice beach. We did two great dives, saw so many fish, and even had sea lions come play with us 😊 What we really appreciated is that they clearly prioritize small groups, which made the whole experience feel much more relaxed, personal and enjoyable. I just got back from a two-dive trip to Espiritu Santo Island with La Paz Explorer and had a wonderful time! Espiritu Santo is a magical place that should be on any diver's bucket list, and our guides Anabel and Laura went above and beyond to make the experience even better. They were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional, and a genuine joy to be around. La Paz Explorer already keeps group sizes small, but with two guides our groups were even smaller, allowing each guide to tailor the experience to the divers' skill levels. My guide Laura did an excellent job refreshing my skills (I hadn't been diving in over a year), kept me at ease with her sense of humor, and then effortlessly navigated us through two beautiful but complex sites. I never felt rushed or stressed, and was able to just relax and take everything in. Laura really was an excellent guide. After the dives we had lunch on a beautiful beach before riding back to the dock looking for rays and turtles along the way. La Paz Explorers sent Arturo, Margarita and Laura to pick us up at our boat and take us to Los Islotes to dive. There were 7 of us, 2 certified divers and 5 beginners. Margarita took me and the other certified diver for a 2 tank dive that began with a young sea lion joining us. It was a great dive. My concern was with my 5 crew who had never done scuba before; surely at least one or two of them would become too intimidated. To my wonder and delight all 5 of them got through the training, then did their first dive. They were ecstatic, Arturo and Laura were expert, patient and humorous.
