We dove with another dive shop a few days before but when they were full we joined La Paz Explorer to get one more day of diving in. The other shop was great, but La Paz Explorer was exceptional. María and Roberto were so extremely kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredible dive guides. Also their boat was super clean, their gear was top notch and seemed brand new. We got to do an amazing wreck dive and a different route on the sea lion colony that was really amazing and María showed us a nudibranch that was incredible. Their service and guiding was awesome and they were happy to answer all questions we had about Spanish, culture in La Paz, diving questions, questions about the mountains. 10/10 experience. Our scuba guide, Daleth, had our safety at the top of mind and ensuring that it was a fun and interactive experience. Daleth is extremely knowledgeable about the marine life and its importance to the ecosystem. For divers looking for an English speaking guide, Daleth is fluent in English and there were no questions about the instructions she communicated to us. Captain Cory made sure that he got us safely to our dive destinations and extremely helpful in getting our gear on and ready for our dives. Spent a lot of time searching and comparing agencies, it was a great final choice! First, staffs are nice, reliable and welcoming. Second, equipments are new and well maintained. Boat is new and very clean! Facilities on the boat is also top. They have a toilet and a place to rinse your wetsuit. Most importantly, they took good care of us and paid attention to us to ensure we have the best experience. Our first dive we went to Los islotes and had a lot of fun with the sea lions. The booking agent was very honest about possibility of weather hindering our plans, but we lucked out and were able to snorkel with sea lions and swim with whale sharks. Our family booked two trips with Roberto and La Paz Explorers - one snorkeling trip to Espiratu Isla with lunch and a tour around the area and a second to swim with whale sharks. He was incredibly easy to work with, very responsive and reliable and did his best to accommodate our family. The tour guides, Mars and Alex were very knowledgeable about the marine life and natural habitats for so many of the native species and knew much about the history of the natural park. They made the trip fun for us all, and helped guide my sister who was not as comfortable swimming with the sea lions but ended up loving it! We felt safe and well cared for. Corey was a fabulous captain and guided us along our adventure stopping for dolphins and sea turtles. I would absolutely recommend booking with this tour group!
